This is such a great time of year for so many reasons: the smell of fresh Christmas trees, all the light displays, and so many fun things to do with the family. It seems there’s something to see or do just about every day between now and New Years and I’m hoping we can break away from the hustle and bustle long enough to go enjoy a few of our favorites. Here are a few of what I think are the best events here in Atlanta:

Stone Mountain Christmas and Snow Mountain

There’s so much here to do that one day may not cover everything. See a 4-D movie, a parade, or take a snow tube ride. There’s definitely something for everyone in your family to enjoy. With all there is to do at Snow Mountain, you may want to stay for more than one day! https://www.stonemountainpark.com/

Children’s Museum of Atlanta Celebrations of Light

If you’re looking for something fun and family-oriented, you’ll find it here, going on all month long. Check out their “Sockefeller Plaza” complete with a sock skating rink, science on ice, and a hot chocolate session. Plus, this entire month, they will be celebrating all the upcoming holidays. http://childrensmuseumatlanta.org/celebrations-in-light/

Zoo Atlanta Jungle Bells

Heading to the zoo for the day during the holidays makes for a fun, new tradition. They’ll be having a tree lighting, a guest DJ, and arts and crafts for the kids. Appearances by the Neighborhood Ballet and the Atlanta Open Band provide entertainment and get everyone in the holiday spirit. https://zooatlanta.org/event/jungle-bells/

Atlanta History Center Candlelight Nights

Stroll through Christmas past with their special holiday celebrations. A Christmas market is going on all month long with local craftsmen and artisans, while three historic homes show how southerners from three different eras celebrated the holidays. http://www.atlantahistorycenter.com/programs/candlelight-nights

Atlanta is such a great city to enjoy the holidays in and I hope you and your family get a chance to experience as much of the magic of this time as possible. I know we’re going to do our best to get out and see the sights and lights; and create some family memories. Cheers to a happy holiday season!

Cheers,

Michelle
