Slight seasonal slow down for Atlanta’s popular intown neighborhoods.

The September issue of The Hatch Neighborhood Report reports overall sales volume increased 3% from September 2015 and the average sales price also increased 3%.

Our market experienced a very different volume of sales from the 11-county metro area, which decreased 1.9% from September 2015, yet the average sales price overall increased 4.3%, according to the Atlanta Board of Realtors.

We believe the difference in the increase of sales price is due to the softening of prices in the market above $1 million, which has an abundant supply of inventory. There continues to be a severe shortage of supply in the market below $500,000.
