Back in March I wrote a post about the developments happening on our Upper Westside. Well, I’ve got some new information that I’m excited to share with you as we watch these areas take shape. The Upper Westside is definitely the newest up-and-coming area! And just since I wrote my last post, here’s what’s been happening:

  1. Altus at The Quarter – Recently the builder Pulte Homes released more information on its Upper Westside community. It will be a neighborhood of luxury townhomes with 3 to 4 bedrooms, optional rooftop terraces and double master suites. The neighborhood will also have luxury amenities such as pools with cabanas, and several pocket parks. It’s got great connectivity for commuters, just 2 miles from I-75 and 1 mile to the Downtown Connector. For leisure, residents will be close walking distance to the community’s Town Center with will have lots of shopping and restaurants.
  2. Westside Village at Moores Mill – Called “the newest destination lifestyle center for Atlanta’s young and active Upper Westside families,” this development is expected to open in the Spring of 2018 with a community driven mix of tenants including restaurants (casual and fine dining), early learning/day care, hardware store, salon, natural grocery/prepared foods market, boutique gym, yoga, ice cream, coffee shop and more. There have been no official announcements on the retail brands yet, but the developer has enlisted community input on what residents think would be the best additions for the area.
  3. Westside Station – This new Brock Built community will be like a town within a town with its amenities and numerous home styles from single family, to townhomes, contemporary to classic. It is an ideally located neighborhood that features an open-air clubhouse and resort-style outdoor pool area and lots of green spaces to give the community a spacious, lush, comfortable feeling. Westside Station is also within walking distance of the new Publix shopping center and adjacent to the new trail system. Now is the perfect time to get in on the action if you’re interested in being able to customize your new home. Westside Station also offers Quick Move-in Homes for families that are ready to move in sooner rather than later.
  4. The Works at Chattahoochee – Since my last update in March, a new development called the Works at Chattahoochee was announced. It will be located on the Upper Westside, just north of Top Golf. The developer, Selig, says its plan is to preserve the industrial look and character of the area while offering the community new and exciting changes on the 80-acre property. Selig has been planning this area and buying up real estate for the last 50 years and finally the time has arrived for the development to begin. The development will happen in phases over the next 5 to 10 years with initial phases opening as early as 2018. When it’s done the area will include restaurant and retail, greenspace, office space, newly built residences, and even a boutique hotel.

If you are interested in jumping on the opportunity to get into these up-and-coming neighborhoods, now is such a great time. For instance, according to their website, Westside Station is offering some buyer incentives for closings before the end of the year. I’d love to help you find the neighborhood that best suits your lifestyle and your family. Just give me a call!

Cheers,

Michelle
