Home prices expected to continue to rise, but at a slower rate

The most reliable sources in the industry are projecting home prices will continue to appreciate over the next few years nationwide, but not at the rate we’ve seen in recent years.

The average projected price increase for 2018 is 5.6%. Closer to home, we’ve experienced a 4% increase in average sales price year-over-year. The number of sales is also up 1%.

The average sales price in the five-county metro area* is up 7% as inventory continues to be tight. The number of sales is level with this time last year. Check out the numbers here.
