Steady rise in prices indicates strong demand

The number of sales this month for the area covered by the Hatch Neighborhood Report, increased 1% over the same time last year, that’s great news because the number of sales were steadily DECREASING for a very long time. Despite the lack of homes for sale throughout metro Atlanta, the average sales price increased 5%, demonstrating that demand is still high.

The average sales price in the five-county metro area* jumped 7% and experienced an increase of 1% in sales for the same time period. Check out the numbers here.

The Hatch Neighborhood Report compares year-to-date sales data to the previous year to measure the health of the housing market of Buckhead and the surrounding areas, and to compare their sales activity to the metro area as a whole. Reporting sales activity for the year allows us to identify top-performing neighborhoods.
