Some neighborhoods have double-digit growth in average sales price

The area covered in the Hatch Neighborhood Report shows the average sales price for October increasing 6% from October 2017 to $824,961, and the number of sales through October 2018 remaining nearly the same as this time last year.

Since the intown market varies greatly by neighborhood, it’s important to dive deeper into the data. Upper Westside neighborhoods, like Berkeley Park, Underwood Hills, DuPont Commons, Riverside and others have experienced tremendous growth in ASP. These neighborhoods are extremely popular because of affordability and proximity to the major development.

Neighborhoods in the Norton Park elementary school district in Smyrna remain a top-performing market in Cobb county, again, because of affordability and location. Check out the numbers here.

The average sales price for single family detached homes sold in the greater metro area* in October was $350,125, or an increase of 7% from October 2017, and a 0% increase of the total number of homes sold.

The Hatch Neighborhood Report compares year-to-date sales data to the previous year to measure the health of the housing market of Buckhead and the surrounding areas, and to compare their sales activity to the metro area as a whole.
